The Historical Society of Forest Park was founded in 1975 and was lead by Dr. Frank Orland for more than 25 years. Under his leadership, a Research Center and Archives, special events and exhibits were created all for the purposes of “collecting and preserving the rich heritage of Forest Park.” The Historical Society has continued this tradition for 40 years and is now seeing Dr. Orland's vision of a permanent home a reality. As it partners with First United Church of Christ of Forest Park, 1000 Elgin Ave. the Historical Society will soon open the Forest Park Heritage and History Center. Please feel free to search our website for exciting events and programs or information on how we can help you with your research project or question. You can also become a member of the Society and/or volunteer.
The Museum is open on Saturdays from 10:00 am-1:00 pm or by appointment.
Please contact the Society at 708-232-3747 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
